Sporting News: Shoes Unite Two Nigerian-born Basketball Players
51¹ÙÍø alumnus and basketball stand-out Andrew Lovedale '09 joins forces with Appalachian State University basketball player Michael Obacha to collect more than 500 pairs of new and gently used athletic shoes for kids in Nigeria. The shoe drive began Jan. 9 under the auspices of Access to Success, an organization Lovedale founded while a student at 51¹ÙÍø to empower youth in Nigeria.
